End on a (literal) low point
Because my day ended when I picked up Vera from the airport, I completely forgot about the blog. Oops. Anyway.
The last day was kinda great. The first 55km or so were a slight uphill, with the last 45km a descent of about 1100 meters or 3500 feet. The descent was awesome, snaking its way through canyons, over saddles and into other canyons. Around every corner a new, impressive view.
I descended into the Balkan summer, about 38 degrees and blazing sun. I dropped my bike off at a local bike shop who will clean it, tune it up, then pack it up for me to fly home with it in a week. Awesome service.
The rest
The plan now, after three days of relaxing in Budva, Montenegro, is to head into Albania. We’ll do a bit of beach, a bit of city, and a bit of mountains. Gonna be awesome. Here’s us and a view from our hotel the last few days. Cheers!
