Ok I haven’t read it lately so I guess I can’t recommend it but if you want to test your German and are up for a quick read as well as some more funny “brain candy” as you put it I’ll recommend any Walter Moers book to you that takes place in Zamonien. You’ll learn the lingo quick enough. I guess “Stadt der Traumenden Bücher” would be a fair recommendation. It’s fairly short and also my personal favourite. Also isn’t that quite a fitting title for a book tip?
Make sure you get a copy with some funky illustrations.
Might just be a little bit for the younger reader, but there are people who enjoy it even now :)
